Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026 · Applies to the Meisy app for macOS and this website
The short version
- Your meetings, messages, files and memory are stored on your Mac. SavanaPoint can't see them.
- Meisy sends text or meeting audio to the AI provider you choose, with your key, only when it needs it to do what you asked.
- Nothing is sent to other people without your approval.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or put analytics in the app.
1. What stays on your Mac
Meisy keeps its data in a database in your user folder (~/Library/Application Support/Meisy): meeting transcripts and summaries, tasks, workspaces, memory items and the sources they came from, settings, and a log of every action Meisy took or asked you to approve. Passwords, sign-in tokens and API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain.
This data does not leave your Mac except as described in section 3. Deleting Meisy and its folder deletes it.
2. What SavanaPoint receives
Your account. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address and the sign-in method (Apple, Google or email code). We use it to identify your account and to contact you about the service.
This website. Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard request logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to run and protect the site. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, and its fonts are served from our own domain.
When you write to us. Your message and email address, to answer you.
3. Services you connect
Meisy talks to these services directly from your Mac, only after you connect them. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive.
- AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini): the text needed for a task, such as a meeting transcript to summarise or an email thread to reply to. Meeting audio is sent to OpenAI to be transcribed. Requests use your own API key.
- Google (Gmail and Google Calendar): to read your email and calendar, create drafts, send email and add events that you approve.
- WhatsApp (experimental): Meisy links as a companion device, like WhatsApp Web. Messages are stored on your Mac.
- MCP servers and apps you add: only the requests you allow in Settings.
4. Google user data
Meisy asks for these Google permissions: read Gmail (gmail.readonly), create drafts (gmail.compose), send email you approve (gmail.send), and manage calendar events (calendar.events).
Meisy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google data is processed on your Mac. It is not transferred to SavanaPoint, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models. It is sent to the AI provider you choose only to complete a task you asked for.
5. Meetings and consent
Meisy listens only while the Companion shows “Listening”, and you can stop it at any time. Audio is kept on your Mac until it is transcribed, then deleted. You are responsible for telling the other people in a meeting and for getting their consent where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep data
On your Mac, transcripts are deleted after the number of days you choose in Settings (30 by default), and memory items expire when you set them to. We keep your account data while your account is open and delete it within 30 days after you close it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete the account data we hold, and you can object to how we use it. Write to us using the contact details below. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Meisy is not meant for people under 16.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
